PBO Save Location

For users of PBO Tools Professional Edition, configuring the output location of your PBO files offers a streamlined workflow, especially when preparing mods for Workshop. This feature allows you to define a specific directory where the PBOs will be saved.

Configuration for PBO Output Location

To set up the output location for your PBO files, you need to adjust the PBOOutputLocation setting in the Settings.json file. This file is located at:

Documents\SIX Software\PBO Tools\Settings.json

In the Settings.json file, you'll find the PBOOutputLocation option, which you can customize to point to your desired directory:

• Default Setting:

  "PBOOutputLocation": "P:\\Output\\"

Professional Edition Users:

• How to Use: Simply modify the PBOOutputLocation in your Settings.json to the path where you want your PBOs to be saved. Ensure the path is correct and accessible to avoid any errors during the packing process.

Default Behavior for Non-Subscribers

• Non-Subscriber Output Location: Users who do not have a Professional Edition subscription will find that their PBO files are always saved to the P Drive. This default setting ensures that all users, regardless of subscription status, can use PBO Tools to pack their mods, albeit with less flexibility in file management.
