Automatic Updates
PBO Tools is committed to providing regular updates to enhance functionality and security. To ensure you always have the latest version, PBO Tools automatically checks for updates every time it is launched.
How Updates Work:
Automatic Check:
Upon launching, PBO Tools connects to the GitHub API to verify if there is a newer version available. This check is performed by comparing the version number of your installed application against the latest release published on our GitHub.
Prompt for Update:
If an update is available, you will be prompted within the application. The prompt will inform you that a newer version exists and ask if you wish to update.
Accepting the Update:
To proceed with the update, you can press 'Enter' or 'Y' when prompted. This action will initiate the download of the update file to your Downloads folder.
Installation:
Once the download is complete, you use the updated PBO Tools application.
Troubleshooting Update Issues:
Network or Access Issues:
If your version of PBO Tools is not receiving updates, ensure that you can access https://api.github.com/. If you are unable to access this URL, it may be due to network restriction(s). In such cases, we recommend using a VPN service to bypass these restrictions and allow for successful updates or manually downloading updates by visiting https://obfuscator.pbo.tools
