Failed to Connect
When launching PBO Tools, the application connects to the PBO Tools API and GitHub API to check for updates and validate your account. However, there may be instances where the connection to these endpoints fails, resulting in a "Failed to Connect" error.
Understanding the Error
The "Failed to Connect" error indicates a problem with the application's ability to communicate with our network. This could be due to a variety of reasons, such as network issues, server downtime, or network restrictions.
How to Resolve the Error
If you encounter a connection failure when using PBO Tools, follow these steps to diagnose and resolve the issue:
Check API Status:
Visit the PBO Tools API status page at https://status.pbo.tools to see if there are any known issues affecting the APIs that PBO Tools relies on. This page provides real-time status updates and information about any ongoing incidents.
Join Discord for Alerts:
Join our Discord where automated network alerts are provided. These alerts will notify you when the network status changes or when services come back online. Being part of this community also allows you to receive support and updates directly from the PBO Tools team and other users.
Network Troubleshooting:
Ensure that your internet connection is stable and that there are no local network issues preventing PBO Tools from accessing the internet. Check your firewall settings and any other network security configurations that might block the application from making outbound connections.
Retry Connection:
After checking the above steps, attempt to relaunch PBO Tools to see if the connection issues persist. Often, temporary network or server issues can resolve themselves quickly.
